Sirius

On 26 February 2008, a new 10-krone coin was issued in the Polar series.

The coin is designed by the sculptor Margrete Sørensen and inspired by the Sirius Sledge Patrol and the 'Canis Major' constellation with Sirius as its brightest star.

"Sirius" was minted in three different versions: a gold coin in Greenlandic gold, a silver coin and an ordinary 10-krone coin.
