Faroese 50-krone

On 3 July 2001 the 50-krone banknote was issued. The motifs are a ram's horn on the face of the banknote and a landscape from Suðuroy on the reverse.

Format 125 mm x 72 mm. Issued on 3 July 2001

Motifs
The ram's horn on the face of the 50-krone banknote is printed in intaglio.

The background depicts a watercolour of a stone wall. The principal motif on the reverse of the banknote is a hillside near the village of Sumba on the west side of Suðuroy. Since the area is a typical pasture for sheep and rams, there is a natural link between the ram on the face and the landscape on the reverse of the 50-krone banknote.

The motif on the reverse of the 50-krone banknote is a hillside near the village of Sumba.
