Danmarks Nationalbank assesses financial stability in Denmark, focusing on financial institutions, financial markets and payment systems.
Analyses of the Danish financial sector are primarily based on large and medium-sized banks, which account for the largest part of the Danish banking sector's total balance sheet. Besides banks, the analyses include mortgage-credit institutes as well as life insurance companies that are affiliated with the large and medium-sized banks and that may therefore have an impact on the banking sector.
The purpose of the analyses is to assess whether the financial system is sufficiently robust to withstand the expected economic development. Furthermore, the resilience of the system is assessed in scenarios where the economy and the financial conditions are worse than anticipated.
The results of the analyses are published in Danmarks Nationalbank's Financial stability and Stress Tests publications. Danmarks Nationalbank's Monetary Review also contains analyses of topics of relevance to financial stability, as do the Working Papers published at Danmarks Nationalbank's website. |
