Danmarks Nationalbank has seven guest apartments at Nyhavn 18 which are made available to foreign scientists and artists visiting Danish scientific or artistic institutions.
In the allocation of the apartments emphasis is laid on the guest's previous work which should be of high quality. Furthermore the hosting milieu, if any, is included with the emphasis laid on the guest's ability to contribute with knowledge and inspiration.
Applications from Ph.D. students are not considered. Former residents will not be considered for 5 years after their stay.
Danmarks Nationalbank allocates the guest apartments after consultation with a committee that currently comprises Professor Søren-Peter Olesen (Chairman), Professor Claus Thustrup Kreiner and Professor Frans Gregersen.
Candidates are nominated once a year by Danish educational institutions, next time in January 2013.
